Woman Rescued after SUV Rolls Down Cliff Near Blue Canyon


PLACER COUNTY — Emergency officers rescued a lady Friday after her car went over a cliff near Blue Canyon.

Crews responded after the lady referred to as for assistance on her cellphone. She had crashed the night time before and suffered a broken leg.

Cal Hearth says the lady’s car got here to rest towards a tree. If it weren’t for that tree, officers stated, the lady would have rolled additional down the cliff.

“It’s very steep, it’s very unstable. Slightly below where the affected person was situated was a sheer drop-off of one hundred or more ft,” Cal Hearth Battalion Chief Brian Eagan stated. “So, if she had wandered off or tried to maneuver round on her own she simply might have gone over that cliff.”

It was not immediately clear what led to the crash.
