Switzerland says 6 citizens killed in Swedish minibus crash

Switzerland says six of its citizens have been killed in a street crash in northern Sweden.

The overseas ministry in Bern stated Sunday that a Swiss consular official had been despatched to the region to help the victims’ households, but gave no further details on the deaths. It stated one individual was injured within the crash.

Swedish media reported Saturday that a mining truck crashed right into a minibus, killing six of the seven passengers in the bus.

Swedish mining firm Kaunis Iron stated considered one of its vans had crashed head-on with another car in the Kiruna municipality near the border with Finland early Saturday.
