Most Safety’s house owners on Tuesday sued the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and its members, employees and the stewards who disqualified the horse in the 145th Kentucky Derby.

The federal lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Courtroom in Frankfort on Tuesday, referred to as the disqualification process “bizarre and unconstitutional” and seeks to have the stewards’ determination reversed and the original order of end reinstated “confirming that Maximum Safety is the official winner of the Derby who stays undefeated.”

The Wests also need to have the $3 million in Derby purse monies redistributed to them, coach John Servis and jockey Luis Saez.
