Man’s ‘Bathroom Humor’ Leads to 911 Bomb Threat Call at Kansas Home Depot


WICHITA, Kan. – A person’s playful warning earlier than using the toilet inside a Kansas Residence Depot store led to a 911 name Monday afternoon, based on The Wichita Eagle.

In line with a police report, somebody in the toilet stated, “You all have to get out of here because I’m fixin’ to blow it up.”

A store worker alerted safety after another man, who had apparently overheard the “males’s rest room humor,” walked out of a stall and stated, “Any person informed me there’s a bomb within the constructing, you’ll want to depart the constructing,” based on the paper.

Officers responded to the shop around 12:15 p.m. and tracked down the second man, later determined to be a daily customer, who advised police “he had no intention of inflicting such alarm” and that the bomb comment was meant to be funny.

The person stated he had assumed the one that stated it “was in a critical have to defecate, and that he was trying to offer a polite warning to the other patrons of the toilet,” in accordance with a police report obtained by the Wichita Eagle.

It’s not clear who made the preliminary joke, but House Depot has declined to press any costs.
