UM coach Manny Diaz took his employees to the Florida Keys on Tuesday night to go to with famous Keys resident and legendary coach Jimmy Johnson, who gained a championship at UM in 1987 and gained two Tremendous Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys.
And Johnson emerged from that assembly much more satisfied that the UM program is in good arms.
Johnson tweeted afterward: “Greatest I’ve felt concerning the U in a long time.”
Johnson expanded on those comments during a telephone dialog Wednesday.

“I’m really enthusiastic about Manny,” Johnson informed me. “He is aware of the history of Miami. We talked for hours [Tuesday] night time about our strategy and he talked about how his defensive fashion mirrors our defensive fashion once I was at Miami.
“I don’t like his power; I love his power. He knows [Patriots coach Bill] Belichick and I are close. He went and visited with Belichick [last offseason]. He’s visiting with different successful coaches and getting [input] on ways to do things.
“Like most younger rising coaches, he’s hungry for info. He’s hungry to study and that’s the thing that impressed me as much as
