Orange City Jimmy John’s franchise owner MorBury LLC paid $2,585 in penalties and again pay after Division of Labor Wage and Hour investigators discovered pay and youngster-labor problems on the firm’s store.
Labor’s release stated the kid labor violation was permitting a sixteen-yr-previous to function a meat slicer, which counts as permitting a minor to “interact in a hazardous occupation.”
That value MorBury, a Lake Mary firm managed by Samuel Bradbury, a civil penalty of $2,218. Investigators discovered two staff have been owed $367 in extra time again pay.
There have been document-retaining shortcomings. The Department of Labor says the store “did not maintain correct data of the variety of hours staff labored, and failed to take care of copies of the dates of delivery for other minor staff.”
