Hundreds of federal staff dwelling in Florida are dealing with firsthand the strain of missing their first paycheck because of the partial government shutdown.

This standoff, coupled with the stress of not understanding when this crisis will finish, has sent many people operating to their local financial establishments, desperate for assistance. Credit unions within the state are working diligently to assist their members and communities by providing assistance.

Credit unions in heavily impacted areas have put together assets to assist members stay fiscally afloat while ready to go back to work.
