Cops deliver vape pen to end 6-hour gas station standoff


Indignant over problems at the pump, a forty-yr-previous man splashed gasoline on the floor at a Novato, California, comfort retailer whereas threatening to burn it down, KNTV reported.

“I was so scared!” clerk Sanjeev Kumar stated, KGO reported, within the 7 a.m. Saturday incident. “I didn’t need to be near him; I needed to remain away.”

Juan Roman stalked out, then returned with some paper and snatched a lighter off the counter, KPIX reported. He ignited the paper and threw it on a gasoline-soaked flooring mat, a retailer safety video obtained by KGO exhibits.

The mat didn’t catch hearth, and Kumar fled in his pickup truck to a nearby Safeway fuel station, where police summoned by Kumar caught as much as him, The Marin Unbiased Journal reported.

“I didn’t know what was happening at first. I assumed perhaps the man was rushing or something, but once they jumped out and drew rifles, I knew one thing extra was happening,” stated Safeway buyer Mike Mahoney, KPIX reported.

Officers, who stated they thought that they had initially seen a rifle or shotgun inventory in a bag in the truck, evacuated the world and commenced negotiating with Roman, The Marin Unbiased Journal reported.
